Club Constitution and Purpose

The “Fox Terrier Club of Maryland” (FTCM) was founded on September 13, 1938 and operates under a Constitution and By-Laws as amended on April 2, 1975.

Purpose The Fox Terrier Club of Maryland -

• Promotes the owning, breeding and exhibiting of pure-bred Fox Terriers.

• Supports the breed standard as established by the American Fox Terrier Club and the American Kennel Club.

• Protects and advances the interests of the Fox Terrier breed.

Membership The membership in the Club is unlimited. Any person of good character, interested in owning, breeding, showing or the advancement of the pure-bred Fox Terrier, shall be eligible for membership.


The Club holds regular meetings to prepare for and support our Fox Terrier Specialty show conducted at the Timonium Fair Grounds, MD during April. Education seminars, grooming classes, health updates and dog training information classes are routinely conducted as a part of the membership meetings. Club Officers are elected during the July Club meeting and hold office for a period of one year.
